The miniature railroad on the adventure playground of Muttenz was founded in 1982. The railroad is operated on five or six days a year; the dates can be found on the web site.
The area is located in a small forest north of the marshaling yard of Muttenz between the (real size) railway tracks and the motorway.
The equipment is currently five locomotives (steam, diesel, and electric). The tracks have a length of about 400 meters. Wagons, tracks, signals and control center were mostly built by the kids themselves with professional supervision.
