"Concorde Plaza
(Grand Central Hotel)
The Concorde Plaza, one of Mazatlan's first luxury hotels, was located on the corner of Main and Guelatao Streets, known respectively today as Belisario Dominguez and Angel Flores Streets. A chronicler from the year 1898 described its public spaces as elegantly furnished, its 20 rooms as clean, fresh and comfortable, its bathrooms as modern and the service and cuisine of its attractive dinign room as excellent. The fully electrified building is also said to have boasted a first-class bar, a covered central patio filled with flowers and tropical plants, a telephone service office and a reception area for private parties, concerts and dances."
