"LAUSANNE HALL was named for the ship Lausanne, in which a party of missionary men and women came around Cape Horn to Oregon in 1839. The building, completed in 1920, is the women's dormitory." -Oregon: End of the Trail, 1940

Lausanne Hall, a late Gothic Revival style building, was constructed in 1919 to replace an earlier building of the same name. During World War II, the United States Navy’s College Navy Training Program was housed in this building, from July 1943 to November 1945. The building continues to serve as a dormitory, providing co-educational housing for up to 151 students.
