Because of the declining enrollment and the rising cost the Diocese of Green Bay was forced to close the St. Francis Xavier Cathedral School. Once the pride of the Catholic Church in Green Bay the school and the convent stand empty with a for sale sign in front of the buildings.
No identifying markings are left on the building except one coat of arms over a door in a court yard. All other markings have been removed. S F X and a sword on a shield surrounded by grape vines.
