This impressive gold Statue of Liberty stands proudly on the lawn of Hibbing City Hall. A plaque stands beneath the statue and states:
“Dedicated to Donald Kozlik, For service beyond the call of duty as a Boy Scout and soldier of his country. His Boy Scout good turn included five years daily service to a blind man, 1946-1951. He served with the U.S. Army from 1951 until he gave his life for his country on a battlefield of Korea, July 18, 1952. Dedicated by Hibbing Knights of Columbus.”
