This archery range is intended to teach and amuse tourists. A sign at the site indicates that the Estonian Archery Federation and two other orgazinations work toward promoting the Olympic sport using both historic and modern bows. Part of that promotion is to teach ..and in this case, to teach tourists.
One of the teachers has this blog (

"Well I'm working again in Tallinn old town, beautiful Medieval city and enjoying the Archery and teaching tourists how to shoot a Longbow, I get to shoot a few arrows when it's quiet but the ILF Recurve has to stay at home so it's Longbow or the Saluki Turk.
Doesn't pay much but I really enjoy, we also have historical info about Archery through history and an English Longbow and war arrows to show people, Medieval crossbow and we also give information on archery associations in each country in case they get the bug, lot of visitors from Norway this week."
