This spot is on the very busy Santa Fe mainline through northern Arizona. It parallels historic Route 66 for much of its length through here. So you can do lots of other interesting things and still get in lots of train watching. Not a good spot during hot summer days but there are some shade trees at the back of the lot next to the highway. A convenience store a short distance away and a diner or two in this small town can take care of food and beverages. There is also a small Hualapai Indian casino in town if you want to cool off and engage in some alternate entertainment.
