This section of the Santa Fe trackage gets lots of traffic. You usually don't wait more than about 20 minutes before another train comes along. The amenities aren't much here; just lots of parking in the gravel lots on either side of the road. But if you're traveling the old Route 66 between Peach Springs and Kingman and would like to take a breather to watch some trains, then stop off at the Hackberry General Store just down the road to grab some refreshments and then take some time off. Not recommended during scorching summer or freezing winter days.
