With a black background to show off the sign, I thought this to be a perfect first submission.

When I was a boy growing up in rural Alberta, Stan Reynolds was already a legendary pack rat. Reynolds began by accumulating old tractors and agricultural equipment, and by the sixties an impromptu museum was opened to exhibit some of his collection. The Reynolds Museum has grown substantially since then and includes everything from aircraft to zoological specimens.

Whoda thunk the collection would even include the neon sign from "The Star Light Drive In". No, I don't know where the Star Light Drive In was, even though I did grow up in rural Alberta in the 50s and 60s. Didn't get out much, what with milking the cows, slopping the hogs and antagonizing the chickens. But I suspect it was somewhere in central Alberta. There is one, still, in Enderby, BC, however. It boasts "North Americas Largest Drive-In Screen".

AHA - It could have been THIS ONE (searching as I write):
"Edmonton's first drive-in opened on June 6, 1949. Located on 156 Street at 87 Avenue, it was boasted that the Starlite's 50-foot screen was the highest in North America. The actual dimensions of the screen were 45 feet by 57 feet, with the supporting structure being 70 feet high. The Starlite could accomodate up to 1000 cars."
