ABOUT THE CEMETERY
Laurel Hill Cemetery is located in the city of Thomasville in Thomas County, Georgia. There is a section in the cemetery known as Soldiers Circle, which is the final resting place of 38 Civil War Confederate soldiers. Civil War Confederate Brigadier General John C. Vaughn (1824-1875) is buried here. There are also three U.S. Congressmen buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery: Archibald Thompson MacIntyre (1822-1900), Seaborn Anderson Roddenbery (1870-1913), and James Lindsay Seward (1813-1886).
