Millennium 2000 Time Capsule
To be opened November 29, 2049
on the 100th Anniversary of the Cominco Arena
The time capsule in located in the brick wall where the plaque is located.
The Cominco Arena was constructed in 1949 to replace Trail's first rink, built in 1911.
The Centre's construction was made possible by generous donations made by Cominco Ltd. The land was donated to the City of Trail and they also gave financial support for the arena. In 1955 Cominco also assisted financially for the construction of the Cominco Gymnasium.
