Located on the Llandudno side of Afon Conwy this commemorative arch was erected in 1991 to commemorate the opening of the Conwy tunnel by the Queen.
The Conwy tunnel is a immersed tube tunnel which carries the A55 under Afon Conwy and was built between 1986 - 1991.
There are two plaques on the arch, one in Welsh and the other in English.
The text on the plaques reads:
