This historical marker is part of a series of historical markers located all around Klamath County and commissioned by the Klamath County Historical Society.

After looking around the historical area where this marker exists, I could find no evidence of civilian life other than an old, eroding, rusted barbed wire fence line that parallels Topsy Grade Rd. This fence line could be remnants of the old ranch and the only remaining evidence of the ranch today. It's also amazing to think that before Interstate 5 was built as well as other highways, this road was the only means of travel between Yreka, CA and Klamath Falls and made more amazing when one imagines traveling on this very rocky road.

Directions to historical marker: If you're traveling south along Topsy Grade Rd which goes south from Hwy 66 (Green Springs Dr), you will see the T Marker on the left side of the road directly in front of a large, dead oak tree.

The marker text reads:

KERWIN RANCH 1875-1903

A WAYSIDE STOPPING PLACE ON THE TOPSY ROAD BETWEEN
YREKA - AGER AND LINKVILLE (KLAMATH FALLS).
