After a brief conversation with Mary, the wonderful owner of Mary's Jerky, I discovered that this bench was created just recently at the 2011 Annual Woodcarvers Jamboree.
According to Mary, the chainsaw woodcarvers all begin with one log, and their creations must use only parts and pieces from that same log, and within a prescribed time limit. This particular piece, the eagle bench, was created by an unknown artist, and then purchased by Mary for her scenic patio and overlook at Mary's Jerky.
