«Petit édifice en forme pyramidale situé à la Citadelle, le mémorial régimentaire est aussi un lieu hautement évocateur. Sont gravés en ses murs les insignes régimentaires de nombre d’unités francophones ayant fourni à un moment ou un autre des renforts au R22R. Par ailleurs, on y trouve les dépouilles du major-général Georges Vanier et de son épouse Pauline, de même que les cendres du brigadier-général Paul Triquet, récipiendaire de la Croix de Victoria en 1943. Aussi, le mémorial contient le Livre du Souvenir dans lequel sont inscrits les noms de tous les membres du régiment tombés en devoir depuis 1914. Chaque matin, un militaire se rend au mémorial et lit à voix haute les noms inscrits sur une page.»

"The regimental memorial, a small pyramid-shaped building located in the Citadel, is highly evocative. Its walls are engraved with the badges of regimental francophone units who at one time or another reinforced the R22R. In addition, there are the remains of Major-General Georges Vanier and his wife Pauline, as well as the ashes of Brigadier General Paul Triquet, recipient of the Victoria Cross in 1943. Also, the memorial contains the Book of Remembrance in which are inscribed the names of all the regiment`s members who have fallen since 1914. Every morning, a soldier goes to the memorial and reads, in a loud voice, the names inscribed on one of the pages."
