I found no further information on Walter Witt.

This is a little different marker than I'm used to seeing as it is a marble trunk on a pedestal as opposed to being a trunk on stacked logs. The seal is towards the top and surrounded by ivy leaves. The name plaque has a hammer and axe above. The text reads:

1907 - 1929
