The Mountain View Centennial Monument is located in front of the Mountain View Town Hall at 405 N Highway 414 in Mountain View, Wyoming.

This monument was constructed to celebrate the Centennial of the original platting of the town of Mountain View in 1898. The Centennial Plaque reads (note the misspelling of "Mountain"):

HISTORY
THE TOWN OF MOUNTAIN VIEW
FIRST PLATTED BY
W. H. HARVEY ON
30 MARCH 1898
ON 18 SEPTEMBER 1973 THE
TOWN WAS OFFICIALLY
INCORPORATED. THE TOWN'S
CENTENNIAL BIRTHDAY WAS
CELEBRATED ON 7 NOVEMBER
1998. THIS MONUMENT WAS
BUILT TO COMMEMORATE THE
TOWN'S FIRST 100 YEARS.

The monument also contains a Time Capsule to be opened on the sesquicentennial of the original platting in 2048. The Time Capsule Plaque reads:
