On the north side of Guthrie Lake, on Lake Road, this train car is display in the yard of a private residence. Also located here is ATSF 999624 caboose.
This is a Canadian Pacific business car. Access was not available to approach the vehicle any closer, but it can be seen clearly through a chain link fence on the property.
From the "Old Time Trains" listing on the TrainWeb site, a photo of this car in 1971 (see gallery) and an interesting narrative about these business cars can be found. (

The TrainWeb site reports:
"Note the incorrect spelling which was done the previous month during repainting. It was corrected when repainted in March 1975." [The car had been painted Matapedia]. "Named business cars were only assigned to high ranking officials such as the President and General Managers and had a two man crew, BC Attendant and a chef. Numbered cars were assigned to Superintendents and had a one man crew. Referred to by the men as "private" cars, these traveling offices with living accommodations were, the Company insisted, "business" cars and they were always referred to as B.C. Metapedia etc."
