"The park features a small skate park, swings, a climbing structure and a view of the Dougherty Valley.

The name "Six Pillars" comes from a national ethics education program that the San Ramon Police Department has adopted called "Character Counts." Each column in the park represents one of the key character traits of the nationwide "Character Counts" initiative. It is a premise based on the core ethical values – the six pillars of character, which are shared by a coalition of communities, schools, nonprofit organizations, and public agencies.

Visit the park to see the six pillars inscribed with the character traits: Trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship." (visit link)
