The Stewart Creek Rest Area is nestled among large trees and borders on Stewart Creek. While in the area during spring through fall you will hear the waterfall just a short distance from the parking area. There is a bench provided if you just want to unwind from that long journey.
We often stop at this rest area and it is always clean and well maintained.
As a note, on our recent visit the sign is missing from the parking area. There are still signs indicating the rest area in both directions on the highway.
