Beacon Publishing Company has been in business since 1936. It is headquartered in a two-story brick building in the commercial district of Capitol Hill. This area on the south side of Oklahoma City was once a thriving commercial and entertainment district, which has fallen on harder times. But, there is a MainStreet project underway to bring new life to this area.
The Capitol Hill Beacon is a weekly newspaper, distributed on Thursdays and it is free of charge. It contains items of local news, sports, business, jobs and community events. It has a circulation of 23,467.
