The Boulder Creek Doukhobor Cemetery is located near the community of Boulder Creek on Hwy. 6 about 4 km. north of Salmo.

Pete Zaetsoff was born in 1913 and died in 1975. Also his daughter Vera (Zaetsoff-Thompson) born in 1939 and died in 2005 is also at the same grave site and both are inscribed on the head stone.
I was able to located a photo of their gravestone, and the condition we found has deteriorated. Most of the upper edge and the entire left side is now broken off and Vera's birth year is illegible.
What we found most interesting about the grave stone is it appears that the inscription was hand stenciled and a flower and leaves were hand painted. The stone itself does appear to be possibly purchased, or perhaps a stone mason carved out the details.
