When I was living in Mont-Joli (I was 5 years old when my family moved to Montreal) the arena was the biggest building I had ever seen. To me it was very impressive. In those days, it was standing alone in the middle of a field and was painted blue gray. Since then it has been renovated and it is now beige with brown stripes. And yes it is now in the middle of the trafic. As my drawing skills are quite limited I prefered to draw the surroundings as in my childhood memories.
There is a nice bench beside Dixie Lee, on the west side of boulevard Gaboury where you can sit to draw a sketch. (see our picture)

March 2023 - The Mont-Joli Stade du Centenaire was demolished in 2021 and replaced by the Aréna – Amphithéâtre Desjardins located at 275 Av. Ross.
