Aberdulais Tin Works became a National Trust property in 1981 and has since been the subject of a lot of conservation waork (still on-going) and now is an interesting and educational visit. The original waterwheel that drove the Tin Works was replaced in 1992 and now generates electricity for the local town. It is believed to be the largest working electricity-generating waterewheel in Europe.
