Nobody knows exactly when this lime kiln became active. There are historical evidences of activity since the 17th Century, but not necessarily on this exact lime kiln.
Accordingly to elder people of the area, this lime kiln was active until the 60's and it was usually fed with stones extracted from local quarries.
