This monument is located in the Historic Downtown Clinton Square, which surrounds the Henry County Courthouse in downtown Clinton.
The statue is titled "They Stood Tall" and was created by sculptor Wayne Hyde from Bedford, PA in approximately 2002. The statue depicts 2 Civil War soldiers, holding percussion muskets. One soldier has "U.S." marked on his belt buckle while the other has "C.S.A." on his belt buckle. (One Union, one Confederate).
The text on the monument reads:
