"25. BENTON COUNTY COURTHOUSE, Jackson St. extending
to Monroe, between N. 4th and N. 5th Aves., was erected in 1888-
89. It is a three-story cement-covered brick building surmounted with a
clock tower, its white walls gleaming brilliantly through the dense
foliage of parklike grounds." -Oregon: End of the Trail, 1940
The Benton County Courthouse, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, is still in use today, housing the Oregon Circuit Court for Benton County and county government offices.
