This subway station is part of the public transportation system in Hamburg, Germany. The station was opened on September 24th, 1967.
Although it is located below street level, it has no roof; the place inbetween the platforms was originally kept free for a repair and assembling building that was never constructed due to financial problems. Until the mid-1970s, the area was covered just with white pebbles. Then, birches started to grow, and nowadays, one finds a real little white birch wood here (not accessible for the public).
