This bronze sculpture, by Judy Boyt, is a twice life-size horse and is mounted on top of a building at 100 feet (30 metres) above street level. The horse is shown rearing up on its hind legs and is pawing the air with its front legs. Not much detail can be seen from street level but the muscles of the horse, especially in the neck area, can be made out. The sculpture was commissioned by Standard Life.
The work was awarded the RBS silver medal in 1993.
