Although there is no date of the dedication on the monument it is very probable that this monument was erected before WW II as monument of victims of WW I. After WW II a plaque with 28 names of "victims of WW II" was probably attached to the monument. This opinion is supported also by he plaque attech at front side of the pedestal, where is a sign "Padlym vojinum ve svetové valce venují obcané Reporyjsti (To fallen soldiers of World War from citizens of Reporyje)". On the pedestal there is a bronze statue of the Czech Lion, which was often depicted just on the monuments of WW I vicitms. It is actually memorial to victims of the both World Wars.
