A five part docudrama from Channel 4 charting five key events in the life of Queen Elizabeth II. The key events were Princess Margaret’s desire to marry a married member of the household staff, a funding crisis for the royal family, a clash with Margaret Thatcher over sanctions on South Africa, failing royal marriages, and Prince Charles’ marriage to Camilla Parker Bowles. Newsreel footage was interspersed with acted scenes featuring five different actresses.
