The barrow was excavated in the 1860s and the remains of over 30 people were found.

The co-ordinates are for roadside parking and access to the site. Getting to the barrow itself invovles a climb up the hill through woodland and fields. The site itself is at N 051 55.63 W 001 58.246

There is no charge for entry to the site. Access is available 24/7.
