The four episodes of any human heart concerns a man, Logan Mountstuart, in his 80’s who is looking back on his life. In the first episode Logan reminisces on his early life and loves.
At Oxford Logan has an affair with fellow student Land Fothergill. Life gets complicated, however, when Logan has an affair with his friend’s girlfriend.
After university Logan tries his hand at writing and meets Ernest Hemingway. His first book is a success and he decides on making writing a career. He is at this time rejected by Land and has an affair with Lady Lottie Casell, who he later marries.
