A bust by sculptor Carl B. Sundberg of America's longest serving state legislator, Anthony M. Scibelli is located in the South End neighborhood that he represented for 46 years. Mr. Scibelli was also one of the founders of Springfield Technical Community College, which was created when the Springfield Armory closed down.

A plaque attached to a granite pedestal is inscribed:
