Die im Marktleugaster Ortsteil Hohenberg gelegene Anlage wird eine Leistung von ca. 2.800 kWp haben und wurde zum Jahresende 2009 in Betrieb genommen.
Der Solarpark entsteht auf einer ca. 7,36 Hektar großen Fläche in der oberfränkischen Gemeinde Marktleugast und wird pro Jahr über 2.500 Megawattstunden (MWh) in das Stromnetz der E.ON Bayern einspeisen. Der Solarpark wird von der Bayreuther ClearEnergy Oberfranken GmbH realisiert.
Der Bayreuther Projektentwickler und Systemintegrator hat die Anlage so geplant, dass das Landschaftsbild weitestgehend erhalten bleibt und ohne eine Versiegelung der Fläche auskommt. Weitere Ausgleichsmaßnahmen sind vorgesehen. Der umweltfreundlich erzeugte Strom entspricht dem durchschnittlichen Jahresverbrauch von 635 Drei-Personen-Haushalten.

The district in Marktleugaster Hohenberg facility located will have a capacity of approximately 2,800 kWp, and have completed by the end 2009.
The solar farm is being built on an approximately 7.36 acre tract in the Upper Franconian town Marktleugast and will feed per year over 2,500 megawatt hours (MWh) in the grid of E.ON Bayern. The solar farm will be realized by the Bayreuth Upper Franconia Clear Energy GmbH.
The Bayreuth project developer and system integrator has planned the system so that the landscape is still largely preserved and does not need to seal the surface. Additional compensatory measures are provided. The eco-friendly power generated corresponds to the average annual consumption of 635 three-person households.
