Exhibit A for why zoning laws are necessary!!!
This electric palm tree has been shocking the sensibilities of local Postites (and making passers-through laugh) for at least 4 years. It is a shocking shade of green at night when lit up, but during the day looks almost normal (if a palm tree ever could look normal on the dusty, dry Staked Plains of the Texas Panhandle).
This Electric Palm Tree is located next to the Twice the Ice on US 84/380 in Post. YOU CANNOT MISS IT, DAY OR NIGHT! It is not being well-maintained, or maybe it is the subject of guerilla sneak attacks. So -- waymark it while you can!!
We took this picture sevreal years ago not because everybody in East Garland was aghast at the Twice the Ice that went in overnight(legally) at the corner of Miller Rd and South First Street. Mama Blaster took this photo to show the neighborhood agitators and Penguin-haters that it could always be worse -- a message they did not appreciate.
