This beautiful and quaint little Japanese Garden is located in the heart of Lithia Park, Ashland's crown jewel, and is the perfect place to get away from the commotion of daily life and sit amongst tranquil waters flowing through the garden.

Lithia Park is hands-down the most beautiful and diverse park in all of Southern Oregon. It's Ashland's crown jewel, providing many activities for visitors all through the year. From walking along many of the bark-covered paths and trails throughout the park, to bathing in Ashland Creek which flows through the middle of the park, to picnicking at any of many picnic tables that are spread throughout the grounds, Lithia Park has something for everyone. There is a playground, a Rose Garden, a Japanese Garden, tennis courts, two duck ponds to feed the ducks, the Perozzi Fountain... There are so many things to do here, it is almost impossible to appreciate the whole park in just one day, but it CAN be done. I've done it myself a few times!
Take a walk through the Japanese Garden in Lithia Park and enjoy the scenery of a wide variety of plants and trees that surround this garden. There is a small stream that flows through the middle, creating little walkway bridges over almost every path. A few concrete benches located near small waterfalls allow visitors to sit and take in the sounds of nature, away from the hustle-bustle of daily life. At the north end of the garden is a canopy bench that can protect one from the rains that fall frequently through the winter.
Visit the Japanese Garden in the Autumn months and be captivated by the different yellow, orange and red hues that adorn every square inch of this sublime place. Even in the winter time this garden can be a beautiful view with a blanket of snow contrasting with the waters from the stream.
