The Trinity Lutheran Church was founded on May 7, 1873 when seventeen members withdrew their membership from the Zion Lutheran Church to organized the Trinity English Evangelical Lutheran Church. The present church building was constructed with the cornerstone being laid September 13, 1873. The first services held in the unfinished church were November 1, 1874 and the church was dedicated October 24, 1875.
