This lookout point is located on a small hill to the north of the city centre of the provincial capital of Nakhon Sawan. This location is dominated by a statue of the Buddha and Quanyin, both of whom gaze downwards, protectively, to the city. The Quanyin statue lies close to the edge of the lookout, and from in front of the statue the best view can be obtained. A common practice in Thailand. The lookout is within the boundary of the city, from here an excellent view of the city centre can be obtained.
Nakhon Sawan is a city ~250 kilometres north of Bangkok. The city has a population of ~100,000 people. A quiet and pleasant locale. Of note the city is the confluence point of the Ping and the Nan Rivers, which together form the Chao Phraya River which flows south to Bangkok and out into the Gulf of Thailand.
Entry to this area is unrestricted and free, though it is possible to make a small donation (20 baht).
