Located adjacent to the Colorado State Veterans Center, Home Lake is a great place for fishing and wildlife viewing. Many species of birds frequent this lake including migrant warblers, flycatchers, vireos, grosbeaks, and the like. In winter, the lake and surrounding cottonwoods host both Golden and Bald Eagles.
Restrictions:
- Open sunrise to sunset; no time restrictions for fishing or with night-hunting permit.
- Float tubes or craft propelled by hand, wind, electric motor only. Motorboats up to 10 hp allowed any time. Motorboats 10 hp or more allowed only 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
