This park office and visitor center was officially dedicated on November 21, 2003 and was constructed in part by CONSOL Energy, which owns the mining rights below the park.
The offices, 3,576 square feet in size, houses office space for all of the park's staff as well as visitor space and facilities. Construction on the center began in September 2002 and was completed in March of this year at a cost of about $350,000. CONSOL Energy worked with DCNR’s Bureau of Facility Design and Construction on the layout and creation of the center.
