Surat Thani and Chumphon are two of the many Thai provinces south of Bangkok. Surat is the larger and more populous, while Chump has the somewhat sleepy feel of a small town. Agriculture, light industry and tourism are the basis for the local economies. Linking these two provinces is national highway 41.

Near the border crossing point along this highway is the standard, blue sign stretching across the highway, advertising the attractions of the province you are entering. Sections of this highway are busy with commercial buildings, but here, half way or so between the two capitals, the road runs past bush land. No border crossing facilities.
Type Of Crossing: Province

Where is the border located?: Interstate
