The official name of this Trig Station according to the NSW Department of Lands is Port Kembla CORS. The Serial number is TS12067R. Its elevation is 12 metres.

Typically a CORS has an accuracy of 2 centimetres. This one sits in a park adjacent to the Port Kembla Pilot Station museum & has numerous tank traps of truncated pyramid design in the background. These traps were laid on nearby beaches during WWII.

This trig can be assessed by parking in front of the Maritime Centre Port Kembla & walking up the stairs or ride your bike on the extensive shared pathways along the foreshores & side streets of the area. The Port Kembla Heritage Walk passes through the park & plaques describe the area & its artifacts both during the war & when the harbour was originally constructed.
