Emerald Lake is a glacier fed lake. There is a shelter nearby which is a perfect place to rest along the way to the top of Timponogos. You can access the lake from Aspen Grove, with more elevation, or from Timpanookee, with more distance. There is an Earthcache and a challenge at emerald lake, if you are interested.
