North Shelby Cemetery is one of the half a dozen or so small cemeteries around Medina, NY. The village of Shelby is the official city, but Shelby itself doesn't have much of a population any more. The cemetery's first interment was in 1820 and is still in use (although not terribly often). Approximately 400 graves are in this location.

For those who letterbox, this is the first cemetery listed on the 2007 Hallowed Grounds Tour of Orleans County (which will be turned into a waymark scavenger hunt by 2013). Check here for more details: (visit link)
