This town clock is situated at the intersection of Salisbury Street and Church Street in downtown Amesbury. It is attached to the side of the two-story Lloyds SB building. A plaque on the wall below the clock reads:
"THIS CLOCK
COMMEMORATES
THE MILLENIUM
OF AMESBURY ABBEY
979 - 1979"
The clock itself, or should I say clocks, are square, black framed, and mounted back-to-back at 45 degree angles from the building. Each has a white background with normal smooth black hands, black Roman numerals I-XII, with black tick marks for the minutes in between. Each clock has a glass cover to protect it from the elements. The clocks are made by Chloride Gent.
