The FACT Transit Center opened in 2010 as the business park in which it is sitting in was being developed. The main reason for the transfer center is to provide a comfortable and safe environment for citizens and visitors of Uniontown and the surrounding area to purchase transit passes and information as well as have necessities, such as sanitary toilets available while waiting for a transfer.
Inter-county shared-ride buses also wait here when transferring clients and a park-and-ride is available in the rear of the building for the commuter buses to the larger cities.
