Mountain View Cemetery is home to a veterans memorial plaque and flag pole to remember all veterans who've fought in all wars protecting our freedoms.
The flag pole memorial is located in the heart of the cemetery and the flag pole has one US Flag and one POW flag flying proudly. There is a plaque imbedded on top of a brick structure as well as an American Legion metal emblem monumented on the front of the brick structure. The memorial also has a light pole next to it that I'm assuming lights up the flag pole at night.
The metal plaque says the following:
FLAG FLYING
IN MEMORY OF
VETERANS OF ALL WARS
Type of Memorial: Non-Specific Memorial
In Honor Of: Veterans of all wars
 Marker Text: (Please read above)
 Date of dedication: none
Who Put it Here?: American Legion
Description of Memorial: This memorial flag pole was discovered after waymarking some nearby graves of centenarians in this cemetery as well as the Ashland Tree of 2006, which is also nearby this memorial. The Mountain View Cemetery is also a waymark.
Wars mentioned (Multi-war only): Not listed
