This benchmark is located at the summit of Guard Hill.

Directions to the benchmark are as follows:
Park at the Guard Hill parking area on West Patent Road in Bedford, NY. Follow the yellow blazed trail to the summit of Guard Hill. There is a clearing near the summit for a pump house. Across the access road from the pump house is the highest point on the hill. Climb to the rock outcrops at the top. There are three old concrete foundations up there as well as a very old 4 foot diameter flagpole setting.

The station mark is a copper pin 1/8-inch in diameter cemented in a drill hole at the center of a chisled cross in rock. It is 17.6 feet northwest of the center of the base for a flagpole, 8.7 feet east of the south corner of concrete foundation (west 1 of 3), 8.5 feet southwest of south corner of concrete foundation (north 1 of 3) and 8.0 feet north of north corner of concrete foundation (south 1 of 3).
