This mark was found and photographed in 1979. Many dirt roads have since been closed by the National Park Service. Not sure where present day parking (2012) is most suitable. Essentially, the hike goes to the northern reaches of Queen Valley, in Joshua Tree National Park. From there it is a hike up (1000 feet vertical) to the top of the left (western) peak of the two main mountains (see photo, arrow points to peak).
